The SAFE Bar Network’s Haleigh Harrold joined Burton Patterson from the Indiana Coalition to End Sexual Assault and Human Trafficking for a Facebook Livestream.
Their conversation spanned the role of the SAFE Bar Network in increasing safety, preventing sexual violence in college communities, relationship building, and overcoming a culture of silence.
Haleigh explains the importance of engaging owners, managers, and employees at alcohol-serving venues in creating a workplace culture focused on using active bystander skills to increase safety.
Haleigh and Burton also discussed the SAFE Bar Network and ICESAHT partnering in Indiana, the role of social media in culture change, and changing norms to increase safety and prevent violence. Visit ICESAHT’s Facebook Page to watch the entire conversation.
